CABBAGE WITH BACON

1 head of cabbage
5-6 slices of bacon
salt and pepper to taste
Cook bacon in oven until crispy.
Cut cabbage in large bite size
pieces.
Put oil or bacon dripping in frying pan (I use about 1 Tbsp
olive oil & 1 Tbsp bacon fat).
Cook cabbage in oil till desired
consistency.
Add crumbled bacon and season with salt and pepper.
My mom learned this when we lived in Ireland. I had not had it since
I was young but recently made it for my family. Three out of our 4
kids loved it.
