Bill builds a bunch of robots


Bill had a workshop in his basement
One day He figure out how to make a smart program
It could understand English, talk, recognize speech and handwriting
It could to things like prove theorys in math, compose music
And write new computer programs
It could learn how to do new things

The computer program even wrote a arcade game called tetris

Bill taught the computer program how to do all these things like
Computer programming, math and English
The computer program had excellent speech recognition

Bill test how would the computer program behave if it was the robot in
A real environment by making the computer program run in a virtual
environment
The virtual environment was a model of a house and you could go to in it
Bill also test how it would play chess in the virtual environment with a
virtual board
And pieces

And then bill goes shopping for parts
He goes to radio shack for parts he goes to best buy for video cameras
and microphones
He goes circuit city for the intel processors and harddrives

Then at his workshop he assembles and builds the robot
He uses 6 intel processors, some fans for cooling, 2 video cameras, 2
mircophones, 12 GB of RAM ,
6 hard drives each 160 GB for a total 1 TB of hard drive space, a cdrom
drive so he can
install linux
a speaker for its voice, motors to move it and metal sheets
he connects CPUs to the motherboards
He puts 2 GB of RAM on each intel processors
He connects the hard drives and cdrom drive to the intel processors
He installs a sound card and connects the speaker, the microphones to
the card
He installs a video card and connects the video cameras to the card
He installs a network card
He connects the internet cable to network card
He installs linux in the robot and installs his smart computer program
In the robot

Bill had bought the parts, assemble the robot, install linux and his
program all in one day
At the end of day his robot finish
His robot had some ports
It had network port,
you could connect it to a router and access it over a network
it had 6 usb ports, a video port where you could plug in a monitor
2 ports


the next day bill tried it out and it work,

bill test if the robot will walk around the house
the robot walked around the house successfully without bumping into
anything


bill want to see if robot can proved a theory

the robot figure out a proof to the problem


bill test if the robot can talk to him and understand English

bill began to talk to the robot
bill said “hi robot”
robot said “hi bill”
bill said “what to you know”
robot said “I know how to walk, I know English,
I know computer programming I know a lot of math I know how to compose
music”
Bill said “cool, want to learn how to play chess?”
Robot says “yes I do”

Bill teaching the robot how to play chess
Bill says “the object of chess is to checkmate the king”
Bill says “and players take turns moving”
Bill says “the six diff kinds of pieces move in diff ways”
Bill says “here are values of five diff pieces
Pawns have a value of 1
Knights have a value of 3
Bishops have a value of 3
Rooks have a value of 5
Queens have a value of 9”

Bill says “when a pawn reaches the end of board you choice of 4 diff
kinds of pieces
You want to become”

Bill shows the robot the diff ways the pieces moved

When bill was done teaching the robot the rules
Bill taught the robot
Like the putting pawns, knights and bishops in the center

The Robot play chess with bill and each game the robot got better and
better

Then the robot program his own chess program in just 1 hour
It had a graphic user interface and it play really good and had no bugs
The amazing part is that bill built a robot that could program so
quickly and was perfect that it did not make any bugs

The robot program its own operating system in just 3 hours
It even had its own graphic user interface

The robot enjoy programing and was even addicted to it
So the robot went to work for Microsoft
The robot had a spiecal ablity and could spot bugs in the program really
quickly
By just reading the source code
So the robot’s job was the find the bugs in the source code
So the robot found and fix all the bugs in windows in just 1 hour
So Microsoft windows was finally bug free

The robot fix all the bugs in Microsoft office in just 1 hour

Then the robot went to work for a game development company
The robot was so addict to programming he could program 24 hours a day
Game development company like because lot work was getting done
One game only took 1 month with the robot working instead 12 months

The robot was program to have fun programming so it could do lot of work
but it went too far turning it in an Addiction

one day bill found the problem and fix it the robot still like
programming and
found it fun but it was no longer an addiction the robot could finally
stop after a
year of non stop programming
Game development company did not like the robot working less

During year where the robot was working for the Game development company
Non stop bill missed his robot

He solved the robot’s addiction so can have his robot back

Bill gave the robot a rubics cube to solve
The robot play around with the rubics cube then
The robot figure it out and solve the rubics cube in 10 minutes

bill gave the robot a basketball
and robot play basketball and was good the first time
and more the robot played the better it got


bill ask if the robot want prove a math theory
the robot say yes and and work on the problem
the robot solved it and came up with a proof in just 20 minutes

the robot painted some paintings
and he show his paintings to bill
bill said "cool"
so now bill knows the robot can proved stuff, is smart
and has good hand-eye coordination

one day bill has expedition in a convention center
showing off his robot and what it can do
the robot had a conversation with a visitor
robot says “hi”
visitor says “hi” back
robot says “how are you?”
visitor says “great, what are some of the things you do”
robot says “I can play chess, I can program”
visitor says “I that’s amazing that you can program
I never knew that robot could program
You might be the first robot to who knows how to program”
Robot says “well I program tetris, chess and I once worked for a
company”
Visitor say “wow, I am impressed that you can program all that stuff“
Robot say “bill figured out how to make me program, I can program
checkers, watch”
The Visitor and a lot bunch of people watching the robot programming
checkers
Hey people the robot programming checkers come see
The people was impressed
They was amaze that a robot could programed

the visitor say “I am amaze that I could talk to a robot”
the visitor say “I want a robot like that”

bill says “that’s cool that you like my robot,
I built the robot, I planning start up a company that makes robots”
Bill said “here is my home page and email address”

One day bill the robot went traveling by himself
He travel to china by himself he went on the great wall by himself
The people were amaze to see a robot on the great wall.
One guy say hi to the robot the robot answer back “hi”
The guy was surprise that the robot could talk
The start to talk to the robot and said “hi robot how are you?”
The Robot answer back “I am a robot that bill built”
Guy said “that’s cool that bill built you, you does bill live in china?”
The Robot says “no bill lives in the USA”
Guy saids “cool how did robot get here?”
Robot “I travel to USA by traveling “
Guy saids “you travel by yourself” Robot said yes
The guy was amazed that the robot travel to china

Back home bill invents robot garage. he figures out how build it
He buys a lot of stuff to build the garage he plans how to build it and
writes software for it then he builds the garage near his home
the garage was finish it was 3 levels and could hold 6 cars
a machine moves the car to the right place
bill test it with his own car it work the robot garage park his car for
him
one day a friend came over bill shows him the robot garage
“watch robot garage park my car” says bill.
Bill gets out of the car and push some buttons
He and a friend watch the robot garage put the car in a parking space
His friend said “cool” bill said “now watch the robot garage get my car”
So the robot garage return the car
His friend said “that’s was a very cool idea” bill said “I came up with
idea to build a
Robot garage” his friend said “you could make money that idea.
Developers, especially in new york where parking is scarce would want
it.”
So he founded a company that sells robot garages and hire a bunch of
people to build
A factory that makes robot garage parts for him
One day he made his first sale and heard that people are building first
robot garage in
World when it was finish there was a short news article about the
world’s first robot garage
And it said “a new garage opens up in new york city. It is the world’s
first robot garage
People could just drive in and walk away. The garage automatically parks
your car
the robot garage let’s you fit twice the number cars in the same
building
that is especially nice in new york where where parking is scarce
it was bill you came up with idea of a robot garage
he founded company to build them and tell people about it”    

back home a friend called him up and said “that’s so cool that they
build the first robot garage and it is all thanks to your idea”

back home he decide to invent a robot that plays basketball
he went to his computer and wrote software for the basketball robot
and build to basketball robot now he test it
the basketball robot was so good at playing basketball that it impress
bill
the robot performed much better than he thought it would
not only the robot play good he also keeped score

bill want to prove to his friend who was also good basketball player
that the robot
plays good no matter where it is. So he invites his friend over  
so he and friend go to a bunch of places to play basketball
the friend place basketball with the robot at every place  
the friend was impressed that the robot can play basketball no matter where
it is

bill invents a robot vacuum cleaner
the robot writes his own story
the robot wrote its own computer program
the robot builds his own room
